A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialist ward for newborns who need extra medical support — including premature babies, those with low birth weight, breathing difficulties, infections, or other conditions requiring close monitoring and treatment after birth.

Ideally within the first week after birth, and then at regular intervals as recommended — 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, and annually thereafter. Regular check-ups help track growth, development, and ensure vaccinations are up to date.

Sunrise follows the national immunisation schedule as well as IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics) guidelines for additional recommended vaccines. Our paediatricians will provide a complete vaccination schedule at your child's first visit.

Every child develops at their own pace, but if you have concerns about your child's speech, motor skills, social behaviour, or learning, an early assessment by our Developmental Paediatrics team can provide clarity and, if needed, an early intervention plan.
